At Tattershall Lakes you can try a range of Paddle Sports by yourself or with your friends!
+ Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)
Stand Up Paddle boarding is an offshoot of surfing that originated in Hawaii. Unlike traditional surfing where the rider sits until a wave comes, stand up paddle boarders stand on their boards and use a paddle to propel themselves through the water. Variations include flat water paddling for outdoor recreation, fitness, or sightseeing, racing on lakes, large rivers and canals, surfing on ocean waves, paddling in river rapids (whitewater SUP), and even Paddle board yoga.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to surf waves or ride the rapids on our lake, but you will be able to learn to paddle, turn, race against friends, maybe try some SUP Yoga or SUP Fit, but definitely have loads of fun learning and enjoying the scenery.
+ Monster SUP
Our Monster SUP Boards are huge! They are great for small groups (we allow up to 6 people on each board). Very challenging to balance on when lots of you on. Great fun for racing against each other, challenging each other to games on board, such as last man standing!..
+ Sit on Top (SOT) Kayak (Singles or doubles)
A kayak is a small, narrow watercraft which is typically propelled by means of a double-bladed paddle. The word kayak originates from the Greenlandic word qajaq We use Sit On Top (SOT) Kayaks as they are easier for people to get in and out of.
You have a choice of single kayaks (1 person), or double kayaks (2 people)
All of our Paddle Sport sessions are supervised by a Paddle Sport coach on a 1:8 ratio.
No experience necessary, our coaches will show you everything you need know. Ideal learning location for complete beginners in our super sheltered lake.
Paddle Sports are available for anyone aged 5 and above. Children aged 5-8 must have an accompanying adult on the water with them.
